I am usually referred to by my name Aλεξάνδρα or my nicknames Ali/Alex/Baroque/Jellyfish/Squid. Some say that I'm the long lost twin of Mary Bennet from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Currently I'm attending to a drama course at Hartvig Nissens High School. I am excessively fond of musical theatre and theatre in general. My main obsession is the Enlightenment and the French Revolution (and French history in general), which became a interest even before I started school, when my mother introduced me to "Les Misérables". Therefore I've been mentally living in Paris in the 1830s for many years. Otherwise I'm fascinated by everything concerning the 18-19th century and lately I've become interested in the modernists and the early 20th century. This is mainly because the only exciting historical aspect of my home country, Norway, is the realists, naturalists and bohemians.
Next autumn I'll leave for University where I'm going to study History and English Lit. I'm crossing my fingers for Queen Mary in London.
This journal is very random, but I tend to post regularly.
"The world will know and understand me someday,
but if that day does not arrive, it does not greatly matter.
I shall have opened the way for other women."
